It’s not actually a shop - it’s an art installation outside of Marfa, TX, part of Donald Judd’s Chinati Foundation that has turned the tiny town into an art extravaganza (and really upped the real estate prices). The Prada store is a sculpture by German artists Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset. But it’s true about the shoes!

Hi Aimee. I’m new to Boulder and a -huge- fan of you and your column. This strikes a chord with me too. Women are so prone to starving themselves into some impossible standard of beauty. Much as I loathe her, I quote Cameron Diaz: “This is the only vessel that’s ever going to carry you.”

Yeah, and she looks like the kind of person that’s really aiming in life to get that “good job”, working downtown at that office, sitting at a desk typing on her laptop, yeah that’s really where I see her.
